The full detail of each visit
Step 1: Initial consultation. Your Invisalign® journey begins with a consultation with Dr. Dave Cho. During this visit, he will carefully assess your teeth, discuss your dental history, and understand your goals for a straighter, healthier smile. This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions about the process, expected results, and any concerns you may have.
Step 2: Digital scanning and customized treatment plan. Next, we use advanced 3D imaging technology to take precise digital scans of your teeth. These scans allow us to create a fully customized treatment plan that maps out each step of your Invisalign® journey. You’ll even get a preview of how your smile will transform over time. Unlike traditional impressions, our digital approach ensures accuracy and comfort.
Step 3: Aligner fitting and wear instructions. Once your aligners are ready, you’ll receive your first set, custom-made to fit snugly over your teeth. Dr. Dave Cho will provide detailed instructions on how to wear them, emphasizing the importance of keeping them in place for 20–22 hours per day. You’ll only remove them for eating, drinking (except for water), and oral hygiene. Wearing your aligners as directed is key to achieving the best results within the estimated timeframe.
Step 4: Periodic progress checkups. Every 4–6 weeks, you’ll return for a progress checkup, where Dr. Dave Cho will evaluate your teeth’s movement and provide your next set of aligners. Each new set gradually shifts your teeth closer to their ideal positions. These visits are essential to ensure your treatment stays on track and adjustments can be made if necessary.
Step 5: Completion and retainers. Once your Invisalign® treatment is complete, you’ll see the beautifully straight smile you’ve been working toward. To maintain your results, Dr. Dave Cho will recommend a retainer to keep your teeth in their new positions. Wearing your retainer as instructed helps prevent shifting and preserves your confident new smile for years to come.
